Information we collect
- Email address — only if you create a price alert. We store it solely to send you the alert you requested and deliver it via our email provider (Resend). We do not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing.
- Usage & device data — aggregated, privacy-friendly analytics (page views, country, device type, performance) via Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. This is used to understand traffic and improve the site, not to identify you.
- Local preferences — your theme (light/dark) and cookie-consent choice are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers.
- Advertising & affiliate data — when advertising is enabled, our ad partner (Google AdSense) and affiliate networks may set cookies or identifiers as described below.
How we use information
- To send the price alerts you sign up for.
- To measure traffic and improve performance, content, and features.
- To show advertising and to attribute affiliate referrals.
- To detect abuse and keep the service secure.
Advertising & Google AdSense
We may display ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
Affiliate links
Some outbound "buy" links are affiliate links (e.g. eBay Partner Network, Amazon Associates, Coupang Partners). If you purchase through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and the partner may set a cookie to attribute the referral. This never affects the price you pay or our Buy-timing Score. See our affiliate disclosure.
Who we share with
We share data only with the processors that run the service: Vercel (hosting, analytics), Resend (alert emails), and our database provider (Neon). When ads are enabled, Google and its ad partners process data as described above. We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
Alert emails are kept until the alert is fulfilled or you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is aggregated and retained per our providers' policies. To request access to or deletion of your data, email ssin6505@gmail.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, PIPA in Korea), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact ssin6505@gmail.com and we will respond.
Children
RipeBuy is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
