This Privacy Policy explains how RipeBuy ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use https://ripebuy.com. We try to collect as little as possible. Questions? Email ssin6505@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Email address and alert details — when you create a price alert, we store your email, product, market, currency, target price, and alert status. We also use your email when you request a link to manage your alerts. Requested alerts and management links are delivered through Resend. We do not sell your email or use it for unrelated marketing.
Usage & device data — aggregated, privacy-friendly analytics (page views, country, device type, performance) via Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. This is used to understand traffic and improve the site, not to identify you.
Action totals — daily counts of retailer-link clicks, successfully saved price alerts, and successful additions to saved products (product_saved), grouped by product and market. Retailer clicks also include the retailer name. These totals contain no email, IP address, cookie or visitor identifier. We skip these action counts when the request signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. These actions are not proof of a purchase.
Local preferences — your theme (light/dark) and cookie-consent choice are stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers.
Saved products — when you tap a product's heart, your browser stores its product identifier and market code, with a storage-format version. The list holds up to 50 products across markets and contains no saved prices, email address or visitor identifier. It works without an account and does not sync across devices. Prices shown when you revisit come from the site's current available data. Successful additions may contribute to the action totals described above.
Advertising & affiliate data — when advertising is enabled, our ad partner (Google AdSense) and affiliate networks may set cookies or identifiers as described below.

How we use information

To send the price alerts and alert-management links you request.
To keep your saved products available in the same browser.
To measure traffic and improve performance, content, and features.
To show advertising and to attribute affiliate referrals.
To detect abuse and keep the service secure.

Managing price alerts

You can request an access link from the alert-management page to view alerts, change an active alert's target price, or cancel it. The emailed link contains an encrypted access token that expires 30 minutes after it is issued. Treat the link as private: someone with the link can manage alerts for that email and market during its validity period. The management page keeps the token in memory rather than in cookies or local storage. Requests are rate-limited using hashed keys derived from the email or network address to reduce abuse.

Advertising & Google AdSense

We may display ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

Affiliate links

Some outbound "buy" links are affiliate links (e.g. eBay Partner Network, Amazon Associates, Coupang Partners). If you purchase through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and the partner may set a cookie to attribute the referral. This never affects the price you pay or our Buy-timing Score. See our affiliate disclosure.

We share data only with the processors that run the service: Vercel (hosting, analytics), Resend (alert emails), and our database provider (Neon). When ads are enabled, Google and its ad partners process data as described above. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

Alert records, including the email address and alert status, remain after an alert is fulfilled or cancelled so they can be shown in alert management. Cancelling an alert stops future delivery; it does not delete the record. To request access to or deletion of these records, email ssin6505@gmail.com. Analytics data is aggregated and retained per our providers' policies.

Saved products remain in your browser until you remove them or clear the site's stored browser data. Clearing that data also removes your theme and consent preferences. We cannot restore a cleared local saved-products list.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, PIPA in Korea), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact ssin6505@gmail.com and we will respond.

Children

RipeBuy is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site means you accept the current policy.
