Dreame's X50 Ultra is the engineering showpiece of the 2026 field, built around a pair of pop-out rear legs that let it physically hop over thresholds up to 6 cm tall, the highest in any consumer robot. Beyond the party trick it is a genuinely top-tier cleaner, with a powerful 20,000 Pa motor, dual extending mop pads that swing out to scrub corners and baseboards, and a fully automatic dock that empties, hot-washes and dries. Its camera-based ProLeap and AI obstacle system is sharp, though the leg mechanism adds height and the occasional clunk on hard floors. For multi-level apartments and homes with raised sills, nothing else gets around the floor like it.
