Bravia 7 (65-inch)
The Bravia 7 is Sony's sweet-spot mini-LED for Europe, sitting well below the flagship Bravia 9 while keeping most of what makes Sony special. It uses the same XR Backlight Master Drive architecture with a high zone count, so it controls blooming better than budget mini-LEDs, and Sony's processing for upscaling, motion, and out-of-box accuracy is again the highlight, making everyday broadcast and streaming look notably clean. It supports Dolby Vision, runs Google TV with strong app coverage, and is a Perfect for PlayStation 5 set with two HDMI 2.1 ports at 120Hz. As with the Bravia 9, the port count is the main limitation, but for film and sport in a bright European room it is an excellent all-rounder.
A good time to buy — it's at its lowest price on record, right around its 90-day average.
- Excellent Sony processing for upscaling and motion
- High zone count limits blooming versus budget mini-LEDs
- Dolby Vision support and strong Google TV app coverage
- Bright enough for sunlit European living rooms
- Only two full HDMI 2.1 ports
- No HDR10+ support
- Off-angle viewing weaker than OLED
