Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
This page explains the cookies and browser storage RipeBuy (https://ripebuy.com) uses. A cookie (or similar storage like localStorage) is a small file a site saves in your browser.
What we use
- Essential — preferences (localStorage). Your theme (light/dark) and your cookie-consent choice are stored locally in your browser so the site remembers them. These never leave your device.
- Saved products (localStorage). The list you create with product hearts stores only product identifiers and market codes, plus a format version, under
ripebuy:saved-products:v1. You can save up to 50 products across markets without an account. The list contains no stored prices or visitor identifier, does not sync across devices, and is removed when you clear this site's stored browser data. You can also remove individual products from your saved list. - Analytics. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights collect aggregated, privacy-friendly usage and performance data to help us improve the site. They do not build advertising profiles of you.
- Action totals. We count retailer-link clicks, saved price alerts, and successful additions to saved products by product and market. These counts use no tracking cookie or visitor identifier. We skip them when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is signalled.
- Alert-management access. Requested management emails contain an encrypted access link valid for 30 minutes after issuance. Its token is held in the management page's memory, not in cookies or localStorage. Clearing your browser's saved-products list does not cancel your email alerts; use alert management to cancel them.
- Advertising (when enabled). Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads unless you opt out.
- Affiliate attribution. When you click an outbound "buy" link, the destination retailer or affiliate network may set a cookie to credit the referral.
How to control cookies
- Use the consent banner shown on the site to accept or decline non-essential cookies.
- Manage or delete cookies and stored site data in your browser settings. Clearing this site's local storage removes your saved products, theme, and consent choice. Blocking browser storage can prevent these features from being saved.
- Opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info.
